The company “Tahlil va Mashvarat” won the tender to conduct a multi-component study within the framework of the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative, aimed at eradicating all forms of violence against women and girls.
The Spotlight Initiative in Tajikistan will be implemented through four UN agencies, with a focus on combating sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in general, and domestic violence/violence within the family, in particular. This will be achieved through a comprehensive intersectoral approach, which will be applied to implement activities aimed at bringing about positive and significant changes in the lives of women and girls subjected to all forms of violence in Tajikistan.

Based on the preliminary analysis of needs, gaps, and opportunities from both thematic and geographical perspectives, as well as consultations with various stakeholders, the program will be implemented in 6 districts in the Sughd and Khatlon regions, as well as districts under republican subordination.
The baseline study of the initiative aims to provide information to address gaps in data/information within the program’s result framework and to establish baseline values for agreed project indicators. The baseline data is crucial for understanding the situation at the start of the initiative’s implementation and setting realistic targets.
